Police: McKeesport Bar Owners Beaten Over Six-Pack Of Beer

MCKEESPORT -- A homeless man was charged with aggravated and simple assault Thursday after police said a fight over a six-pack of beer turned into a bar beating.Police said Ricardo Dixon, 20, and his sister, Candice, attacked the owners of the “Retreat Bar” on White Street in McKeesport Tuesday night.Investigators said the incident started when the owners, William Doyle and Lona Ranelli, refused to sell the Dixons a six-pack of beer. The owners said it was already past closing time.Doyle and Ranelli were so badly beaten that they had to go to the emergency room. Doyle under went surgery Thursday morning.A security camera near the front door of the bar captured the fight.Ricardo Dixon remained in the Allegheny County Jail Thursday night. Police told Channel 11 that they plan to charge Candice Dixon with simple assault.
