PITTSBURGH -- The newlyweds at the center of a wedding night brawl face new charges.One of the victims allegedly assaulted by the couple needs surgery. That has prompted investigators to bump simple assault charges up to aggravated assault.David and Christa Wielechowski were arraigned in court on Friday.The couple said they were acting in self-defense when they got involved in a fight on their wedding night at a Ross Township hotel in April.Witnesses claim to have seen the groom kick his bride, knocking her to the floor.However, the Wielechowskis said they were the victims that night. The couple claimed two men punched, kicked and choked them.
