GROVE CITY, Pa. -- A fallen Pine Township firefighter receives a special honor.

Last Wednesday would have been Brad Holmes' 22nd birthday.

That same day, the Pennsylvania House of Representatives passed a condolence resolution in his name.

Holmes died from injuries suffered during a house fire in Grove City in March.

Holmes is the first volunteer firefighter in the state to be recognized with the honor.

It's usually reserved for servicemen killed in the line of duty in war.
