Tour Buses Packed With Local Kids Crash Near Washington, D.C.

ARLINGTON COUNTY, Va. -- A school bus trip to the nation's capital came to a violent stop around dinnertime Friday.A pair of AJ Meyers & Sons tour buses filled with Woodland Hills students and adult chaperones wrecked into each other on the George Washington Parkway in Northern Virginia.Police investigators said the impact injured a dozen West Junior High School teens. Paramedics rushed more than half of the injured to local hospitals. None of them were seriously hurt and all were released a few hours later.The wreck delayed, but did not end, the school's weekend long trip to Washington, D.C. A Woodland Hills spokesperson says new buses picked up everyone and all continued on the tour.
