BLACK LICK, Penn. -- A vacant building in Blairsville Borough was the scene of a raging fire a little after 5 a.m. Sunday. Emergency responders confronted a structure consumed by flames. No one was living inside the house at the time and there were no reported injuries, but the heat was so intense that it melted the vinyl siding of a neighboring home. After firefighters knocked the flames down, all that was left of the building was a charred frame. The wreckage presented a hazard and was demolished. The Indiana County Fire Marshal will investigate and try to determine a cause.
