JEFFERSON HILLS, Pa. -- Game officers confiscated an exotic bear cub from a home in Jefferson Hills.

The home is across the street from an elementary school on Gill Hall Road.

Game officers said the owners didn't have the right permits or equipment for the 40-pound Syrian female cub.

But the owners said the cub was harmless.

Investigators said David Linton and his business parnter Chris Ganas bought the cub in an online auction and planned to sell the bear for a profit once it reached 100-pounds.
