ROCHESTER, Pa. -- Seven property owners in Beaver County have three weeks to find a way to stop a sinkhole from expanding. The 60-foot deep sinkhole is located in the parking lot of the former Evergreen Restaurant along Ohio River Boulevard. The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection sent notices to several business owners along part of Route 65 in Rochester. The owners have 20 days to divert any water flowing from their property away from the sinkhole. The DEP said the runoff is flowing under the sinkhole, causing it to expand. The sinkhole was discovered in August of 2007 and continues to grow in size.
