Pittsburgh Police Target Aggressive Drivers
Focus Also On Pedestrian Safety

PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Police and PennDOT are targeting aggressive drivers this holiday weekend.Officers are out in force on the South Side Thursday as part of the Smooth Operator program, which is a statewide public safety initiative.They are paying particular attention to how aggressive driving affects pedestrians.Since 2003, more than 50 pedestrians have been struck by vehicles along East and West Carson Streets.
