Man Questioned In Stowe Township Murders Released

STOWE TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- A man police questioned in the murders of two people in Stowe Township has been released.Detectives said they executed search warrants at the home of Wendell Jones, 55, but did not find anything to charge him.A 45-year-old Sonsiarae Watts and her 44-year-old boyfriend, Dale Palm, were gunned down in the bedroom of Watts's Valley street home at 4:30 a.m. Friday.According to family members, Jones is Watts's former boyfriend.Watts had previously filed a Protection from Abuse order against her former boyfriend in May. She claimed that Jones had attacked her on Memorial Day and broke her nose. She withdrew the P.F.A. in May.A woman who was staying at the home with her daughter told police that she heard gunshots and ran and hid with her daughter.Police were looking for a car owned by one of the victims and Wendell Jones after the shooting, until he showed up at Allegheny County Police Headquarters.
