Woman Killed In Crash In East Huntingdon Township

Five Others Hurt

A woman from Westmoreland County was killed in a two-car collision on Sunday in East Huntingdon Township.

The collision happened just before 5 p.m. along Route 31.

Sarah Mae Atkinson, 44, of Yukon, was a passenger in a car that was struck by another vehicle that crossed the center line.

Atkinson was rushed to the hospital, where she later died.

Five other people were hurt. Their names and conditions are not being released.

Police were still investigating the cause of the crash.
