Double Slaying Investigation Leads Beaver Falls Police To Pittsburgh

Channel 11 News has learned the search for clues in a double homicide in Beaver Falls has led police to Pittsburgh.

Richard and Demetria Harper were shot to death last week. Their children were locked in another room of the house at the time.

Acting on a search warrant from Beaver County, Pittsburgh SWAT teams surrounded a home in the city’s Fineview neighborhood Tuesday night.

Beaver Falls police asked Pittsburgh police for assistance in the search for suspects in the Harper killings, and detectives were there as the SWAT team searched the Fineview home.

Channel 11 news reporter Amy Marcinkiewicz has learned that detectives do know who they are looking for, and may have been looking for one or possibly two suspects at the house in Fineview.

During that search, SWAT teams had to shoot and subdue an attacking dog, but no one was arrested.
