Police Hunting For Pair Who Robbed Suburban Hotel

A manhunt continued into Tuesday afternoon after two masked men robbed the Red Roof Inn in Cranberry Township, Butler County just before dawn.

The lone hotel clerk told investigators both thieves appeared to be hiding a weapon under their clothes.

They first demanded that she empty the cash drawer, then commanded her to give them her purse. They also ordered her to open and then empty a partially hidden safe.

The worker reported both men fled on foot, cash in hand, toward Route 19.

The first robber was described as a white man, wearing dark clothing and was between 25 and 35 years old.

The other wanted man was last seen wearing a tan t-shirt and jeans. He age was also estimated between 25 and 35 years old.

Cranberry Police called in a K-9 unit from nearby Franklin Park Police to assist in the subsequent search.
