Meteorologist Julie Bologna Coming Back To WPXI-TV

PITTSBURGH -- Meteorologist Julie Bologna is returning to the WPXI-TV family. This fall, Julie will join the Severe Weather Center 11 team as the meteorologist for the 5 p.m. newscast on Channel 11 News and 10 p.m. newscast on Fox 53.

Julie, along with Channel 11 meteorologists Mike LaPoint, Krista Villarreal, Kevin Benson and Scott Harbaugh, will make up the largest weather department in the Pittsburgh market.Julie, a Beaver County native and Penn State University graduate, left Channel 11 in 2004 and headed to Dallas, where she has been a morning meteorologist at KTVT, a CBS-owned station.She, her husband and their two children will be joined on the cross-country trek back to Pittsburgh by their two dogs and cat."We always hoped Julie would grow tired of the Lone Star state and return to the rolling hills of Western Pennsylvania," said WPXI-TV General Manager Ray Carter. "We are incredibly excited to have her back home."
