PITTSBURGH -- For the first time ever, both newborn elephants at the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium walked around the outdoor habitat together. They strolled through the rustic exhibit and one even gave herself a quick bath on Monday. The babies officially joined the zoo in July.A female calf was born on July 9 to 26-year-old Savannah, an African elephant. Back then, zoo officials said Moja, another elephant at the zoo, was expected to give birth any day.By the time Savannah gave birth, Moja had already set a record for the longest pregnancy by a captive elephant at 673 days. The zoo's bull elephant, Jackson, is the "proud papa" of both babies.
