Visitation Held For Pittsburgh-Area Man Killed In Afghanistan

KISKI TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Visitation services are being held Monday for a Pittsburgh-area soldier killed in Afghanistan last month.The U.S. is not releasing details about how Michael Girdano, 23, of Kiski Township, died.Visitation will be held until 8 p.m. at the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home in Apollo. Funeral services are set for Tuesday morning.A memorial service will be held for Girdano on Friday night in Kiski Township. Residents rallied to honor Girdano at Owens Field in Apollo.
