Visitation Held For Pittsburgh-Area Man Killed In Afghanistan

Visitation services are being held Monday for a Pittsburgh-area soldier killed in Afghanistan last month.

The U.S. is not releasing details about how Michael Girdano, 23, of Kiski Township, died.

Visitation will be held until 8 p.m. at the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home in Apollo. Funeral services are set for Tuesday morning.

A memorial service will be held for Girdano on Friday night in Kiski Township. Residents rallied to honor Girdano at Owens Field in Apollo.
