PITTSBURGH -- Drivers traveling the Parkway East and the Parkway West this weekend should allow for extra time.

Inbound Parkway East single lane closures will be in place from 9 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday from the Monroeville Interchange to the Oakland/Bates Street Interchange.

There will also be several coordinated ramp closures to avoid conflicting detour routes.

Periodically, between 9 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Monday, the following ramps will be closed:

The on-ramp to the inbound Parkway East from Greensburg Pike.

The off-ramp from the inbound Parkway East to William Penn Highway at the Churchill interchange.

The on-ramp from Business Route 22 to the inbound Parkway East.

The off-ramp from the inbound Parkway East to northbound Ardmore Boulevard at the Wilkinsburg interchange.

The on-ramps from Route 8/Wilkinsburg and Route 30/Forest Hills to the outbound Parkway East at the Wilkinsburg interchange is closed around the clock between Friday night and Monday morning.

Traffic on Beulah Road will be reduced to a single lane in each direction daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Aug. 12 in the area under the Parkway East.

Parkway West Restrictions

PennDOT has announced single lane restrictions and several ramp closures on the Parkway West, too, this weekend.

Inbound traffic will be reduced to a single lane on Route 60 at 8 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday from the Business Route 60 split to Route 22/30 interchange.

The following ramp closures will also be in place:

Montour Run Road Interchange: On and off ramps to/from southbound Route 60 at Montour Run Road Interchange will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday and from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

On and off ramps to/from southbound Route 60 at Robinson Town Center Boulevard will be closed from 10 a.m. Saturday to noon on Sunday.

Off -ramp to Robinson Towne Centre from Route 60 inbound from 10 a.m. Saturday to noon on Sunday.

Route 22 Interchange: Southbound Route 60 off-ramp to westbound Route 22 will be closed from 10 a.m. Saturday to noon on Sunday.
