Union Township Police Officer Faces Sexual Assault Charges

UNION TOWNSHIP -- A preliminary hearing is scheduled on Tuesday for a Union Township police officer who is accused of sexually assaulting two teenagers in January.Two girls, 13 and 15, alleged that 10-year veteran police Officer Richard Corbin offered them a ride home but instead provided the girls with alcohol and sexually assaulted them at his house.Neighbors said that Corbin, 35, is a father of three and lives alone at his residence on Moore Avenue in Lawrence County.Corbin faces two counts of statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and furnishing alcohol to minors.
