Spaghetti Dinner Hosted In Memorial Of Teenage Accident Victim

A spaghetti dinner is a typical way for an organization to raise money, but today in Carnegie, one fund raiser had a deeper meaning.

Alyssa Boff died when the car in which she was a passenger went off the road on I-79 in Marion County, West Virginia on September 1.

It wasn't your typical church fundraiser, but neither was the young lady everyone came out to remember.

Bridgette Suchman said of Alyssa, "she was everyone's best friend."

Boff, 17, of Carnegie, was riding in an SUV when it went off the side of the road and into an embankment.

The driver, George Cash, was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital, and has since been released.

Boff was pronounced dead at the scene.

Alyssa's mother released a statement today which said, "She was a really kind and gentle spirit. She was everybody's friend and always had a strong sense of maturity even when she was younger."
