Steelers Fans Find Their Cars Vandalized After Game

Some Steelers fans who parked on the street for Monday night's game against the Baltimore Ravens returned to find their cars broken into.

Several car owners found their windows smashed, change and purses stolen, and GPS devices and iPods missing.

The owner of one van that was parked near Sheffield and Manhattan streets came back to find his windows smashed with electronics and money stolen.

Police officers said it is not uncommon for vandals to target vehicles during the games, although the number of reports was elevated last night. In all, police said Monday night, about six cars were broken into.

Pittsburgh police recommended that Steelers fans keep any valuables out of sight in their cars. They also recommend parking in the stadium lots during events rather than on the streets.
