Charity Walkers Raise Awareness For Apraxia

Walkers hit the streets to benefit a rare childhood disease in North Park.

Dozens took part in the first annual Childhood Apraxia of Speech Walk-a-thon at Harmar Grove Saturday morning.

Apraxia is a condition that makes it difficult for children to speak.

One boy thought a walk-a-thon would be a great way to raise money and spread awareness.

Proceeds from Saturday's walk will benefit a charity that helps children cope with he disorder by providing intensive speech therapy and muscle coordination exercises.
