Car Flips Over, Lands In Brentwood Yard

A young driver was lucky to be alive after a wild wreck in Brentwood Tuesday.

Nancy Redmond and her 10-month-old granddaughter were inside her Willet Road home when the out-of-control driver barreled into the front yard.

“That car come down, it just wiped my fence completely out and she flipped the car over. And I saw her fly out of the car. I threw the baby in his little chair so he was safe and went flying out of the house. She was crawling on her hands and knees over to my driveway,” explained Redmond.

Police said the driver was not wearing a seat belt when she suddenly swerved off the road. Her car ended up on top of Redmond’s.

The driver was not immediately identified, but she was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
