Comcast Customers To See Increase In Rates

Posted: 4:37 pm EDT October 21, 2008Updated: 5:45 pm EDT October 21, 2008

Starting Dec. 1, cable is going to cost you more if you are a Comcast customer.

The company said it will raise prices by an average of 3.7 percent.

Comcast said the rate hike is necessary because of increased gasoline and employee health care costs, plus higher charges for programming.

Comcast raised its rates in February by an average of 4.5 percent.

The company says there will be no increases to the Comcast Digital Voice service or to the Comcast High Speed Internet service as long as a customer has at least one other service.
