ELIZABETH TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Elizabeth Forward High School teacher Brian Brosh will stand trial on sexual assault charges for alleged incidents involving Brosh's former student. His attorney said what happened between his client and the alleged victim was consensual. In the briefs filed before the court on Wednesday, Brosh's defense attorney John Bitonti said according to the victim's testimony, she consented to the alleged conduct, mutually kissing him and willingly undressing herself. The commonwealth argued a 16-year-old student can never consent to such activity with teachers in school."I was here for the last hearing and it was sobering. And I'm not the least bit surprised at all that charges were held over," said the school district's solicitor Pat McGrail.Brosh has been suspended from Elizabeth Forward without pay.
