HARMAR, Pa. -- A tractor-trailer collided with a car Friday night on Freeport Road near Brewster's Ice Cream.

Police said the car was making a left-hand turn at an intersection and was struck by a truck coming in the other direction.

The middle-aged female driver of the car had to be removed from the vehicle with the assistance of the Harmar Fire Department.

She was flown to a Pittsburgh area hospital with serious injuries.
