There is more opposition to the proposed opening of a strip club in Pittsburgh’s West End.

The Onala Club, an alcohol-treatment facility, is next door to the proposed adult entertainment site along West Carson Street.

Opponents say having the two within walking distance of one another sends the wrong the message.

Monday night, a handful of protestors held signs in front of the Onala Club prior to an open house at the facility.

Onala executives told the crowd that if the proposed strip club is granted a special use permit, the center will not survive.

A public hearing is set for Nov. 18.

Pittsburgh’s zoning board will then make its recommendation to city council.
