Three people were arrested Tuesday after police said they robbed the McDonald's restaurant in the Mountain Laurel Plaza along Route 30 near Latrobe on Monday.

Two other suspects are still at large.

Police said Nicholas Matthew Ellis, 18, of Jeannette, and four other people robbed a McDonald’s fast food restaurant on Route 30 near Latrobe.

Police arrested Ellis and Kylie Carolann DePalma, 19, of West Newton, as well as another unidentified female juvenile.

Arrest warrants were issued for Justin Scott Steininger, 22, of Greensburg, and Trenton Dwight Jones Jr., 20, of Greensburg, who remain at large.

Ellis, Steininger and Jones Jr. allegedly confronted the restaurant manager and two other employees as they closed the restaurant early Monday morning, police said.

Ellis instructed the manager to open the restaurant’s safe and demanded the money inside. An audible alarm sounded while the robbery was in progress, and after grabbing cash from the safe, Ellis fled the scene with the other suspects, police said.

Ellis was taken into custody in a Wal-Mart parking lot by Greensburg State Police. Money from the restaurant was in his possession, police said.

DePalma and the unidentified juvenile were taken into custody shortly after Ellis was apprehended.
