Airline Officials Issue Security Tips For Holiday Travelers

Airlines are warning passengers about extra security rules that will be in effect throughout the upcoming busiest travel days of the year.

Pittsburgh International Airport officials provided the following tips for local passengers:

  • • Do not to bring wrapped presents to the security lines.

  • • Food items, such as jams and jellies, should be checked unless their amounts are small enough to fit under airport carry-on guidelines.

  • • Game systems, such as PlayStation and Xbox consoles, have to go through the same screening procedures as laptop computers.

  • • Give yourself plenty of extra time to move through security during holiday travel.
