Seton Hill University Student Among 2 Killed in Hempfield Twp. Crash

HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Two people were killed in a car accident in Westmoreland County early Tuesday morning, including a student of Seton Hill University.Taffeda Finch, 24, of Greensburg, and her passenger, Jason Pravlik, 25, of Mount Pleasant, died after Finch lost control of her vehicle, police said.Finch was a biology major at Seton Hill.The accident happened at 2:45 a.m. on the Hutchinson Bypass between New Stanton and Route 119.Police said the car was traveling southbound when it struck the median, at which point it flipped over, throwing Finch and Pravlik from the car.Neither victim was wearing a seat belt, police said.
