Harmony School Bus Driver Caught On Tape Yelling, Slamming On Brakes

BEAVER COUNTY, Pa. -- A Harmony Township school bus driver, who was accused of reckless driving, received two years probation from a judge in court on Tuesday.Video taken from the school bus showed William McCartney, 68, yelling, as well as kids on the bus flying forward after he stomped on the brakes.McCartney was accused of slamming his brakes on purpose to discipline a child while driving a school bus full of kids in November.He is not permitted to drive a school bus in Harmony Township again, and he will have to complete an anger management program.A first-time offender, McCartney qualified for the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition (ARD) Program and did not enter a plea. He will be eligible to have his record expunged after two years.
