Road Rage At Track Injures Indiana Co. Race Official

INDIANA, Pa. -- One man hobbled by what he said happened at an Indiana County race track has two men facing off in court.The trouble began as road rage incident in October at the Challenger Speedway in Young Township, police said.Police said during a race, Samuel McAdams, 27, and another driver were bumping each other when Mcadams allegedly spun out and became upset.According to police McAdams drove his car the wrong way on the track hitting another car, causing it to injure raceway worker Michael Polema, 42.McAdams was charged with aggravated assault.Polema left court on Tuesday still using crutches from his injuries. All charges against McAdams were held for court, and the assistant district attorney said the video tape of the race proves their case."You see Mr. McAdams spun out in one of the turns and then you see him drive the opposite direction around the track and hit the car he had beef with. That, in turn, struck the racetrack official, causing his injuries," said Assistant District Attorney Patrick Dougherty.No court date has been set at this time.
