A Butler County man who was arrested in an online sex sting was held for court Tuesday.

State police and the state attorney general’s Child Predator Unit arrested Stanley Miller, 37, of Prospect, on Jan. 9.

Miller said he knew what he was doing was wrong, but he wanted to do it anyway.

According to a criminal complaint, Miller attempted to arrange a meeting to have sex with multiple children. He allegedly used Internet chat rooms and instant messages to approach what he thought were 13 and 14-year-old girls. The girls, however, were two undercover agents from the Child Predator Unit.

Investigators also accuse Miller of encouraging a teenager to contact a friend so the three of them could have sex together.

His arraignment date is set for Feb. 24.
