PITTSBURGH -- A cable TV channel that was shut down by Comcast has raised anger among the walking dead.

Armed with 1,600 signatures and an army of zombies, the producer of the local horror show "It's Alive" confronted Comcast officials on Monday.

Mark Menold is demanding Comcast restore WBGN to its cable lineup. WBGN apparently went off the air this weekend after it fell behind in payments.

"Comcast has been charging WBGN a lot of money, and they're basically putting them out of business," said Menold.

Comcast calls the move regrettable.

In a statement, officials with Comcast said, "Despite repeated notifications, meetings and offers of assistance, WBGN continues to be out of compliance, as it has been for the past year."
