Carjacking Suspect Hits 2 Police Cars in Pursuit

WILMERDING, Pa. -- One man was in custody, and facing a long list of charges after leading police on a pursuit through several municipalities MondayPolice said 20-year-old Todd Clark stole a Chevy Impala from Woody’s Restaurant on Walnut Street in Versailles Boro. He then led officers on a chase before crashing the vehicle into a house in Wilmerding.Clark passed by Kristie Armstrong and her two daughters in their car along Route 48. She said, “It was extremely scary. I thought I was going to die. I got sick. My daughter was sick. It was horrible.”Dan Anontelli is the co-owner of Woody’s. He said he left the keys in the car for a few moments while he ran in to the office next door. That’s when police say the suspect struck, police say.Clark is now facing multiple charges in connection with the pursuit, and is being treated at a local hospital for injuries sustained in the chase.
