Wilkinsburg Fire Victims Told To Move Out

Residents of a Wilkinsburg apartment building that was damaged in a fire were told Tuesday they can't come home.

The apartment building on Center Street was damaged in a fire last Tuesday.

The building has since been condemned.

Tenants said their landlord told them they had two hours Tuesday to move out all of their belongings.

"Who in two hours, four hours maximum time, can move any type of furniture out of here? In that amount of time? No one," said tenant Rita Smith.

Channel 11 News called the landlord, Brandywine Realty.

The answering service told us no one will be in until Wednesday.
