PITTSBURGH -- Iron City Brewing Co.'s Lawrenceville plant, which was damaged by last week's storms just as the production is about to leave town, will continue production on Wednesday.

"Right now we're faced with some severe flooding inside our bottling shop. I've got crews working very hard to repair some of the broken water lines coming through and getting some of the water out of the shop," said Tim Hickman, president of Iron City.

Since then, officials said the lines have been repaired and bottling will resume.

The company will soon move its brewing operations to the former Rolling Rock brewery in Latrobe.

What is not clear from the Iron City ownership is how many of the 51 employees will be offered jobs at the Latrobe plant. That information won't be available for weeks.

To complicate matters, Latrobe Brewery workers currently laid off may have seniority rights over the Iron City employees.

Iron City Brewing Co.'s brands are iconic in the Western Pennsylvania region, and its core products -- Iron City Beer, IC Light and Augustiner Amber Lager -- are sold throughout the country.
