Two Western Pennsylvania Malls On Most-Endangered List

WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. -- Two local malls are on U.S. News and World Report's most-endangered list.About 30 of the 120 stores at Century III Mall in West Mifflin have recently closed.The mall is competing with discount retailers such as Wal-Mart and Kohl's.A spokesperson for Century III said the mall is not in danger of closing.In a statement released Monday night, Saul Markowitz said "Century III enjoys a great anchor line up including Sears, JCPenney, Macy's and Dick's Sporting Goods and has a number of great specialty stores."Also on the endangered list is Washington Crown Center in the City of Washington.
