Hearing Postponed For Day Care Worker Accused Of Selling Drugs

PITTSBURGH -- The hearing for a Franklin Park woman accused of selling marijuana and Ecstasy at a day care center where she worked is scheduled for today has been postponed.Kelsey Lansaw, 19, is charged with selling $750 worth of Ecstasy to an undercover detective at a gas station in Coraopolis on Saturday and then again on June 26 drug deal at the Forever Young Daycare Center in Pine Township.Lansaw was arrested in July by officers from the Coraopolis Police Department and the District Attorney Narcotics Enforcement Team following the second of the two alleged drug sales to undercover agents, officials said.Authorities said that during the June 26 sale, Lansaw took a plastic bag of marijuana from her bra and gave it to the detective in exchange for the money.Chief Alan DeRusso of the Coraopolis police said, "(Lansaw) basically pulled the marijuana out of her blouse."Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen Zappala Jr. said the most recent drug deal took place at a Citgo gas station in Coraopolis, where Lansaw allegedly passed a bag of suspected Ecstasy pills to officers in exchange for cash.DeRusso said Lansaw sold nearly 1,000 Ecstasy pills to the undercover officer and was arrested.Following that transaction, Lansaw was immediately taken into custody along with another person who rode with her to the gas station.Lansaw faces a number of charges, including possession and possession with intent to deliver.Lansaw is expected back in court in November.
