Man Killed, Another Injured In Separate Motorcycle Crashes

A Westmoreland County man was killed late Tuesday night in a motorcycle crash, police said.

Police said John Byrne, of Washington Township, was killed when he crashed his bike along Route 380 in Washington Township at about 10 a.m.

Police said Byrne was in the westbound lanes when his motorcycle went onto the berm and hit a road sign.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

At about the same time, another motorcycle crash was reported in Rostraver Township.

Police said the victim, whose name has not been released, was taken to Allegheny General Hospital, where his condition is not known.
