Officials: 2 arrested in Jeannette City drug raid

WESTMORELAND COUNTY, Pa. — According to officials, several raids recovered drugs and assault weapons from locations in the City of Jeannette on Thursday.

Channel 11’s Joe Holden obtained arrest papers showing officers from Jeannette City and agents from the Attorney General's Office served sealed search warrants last night at places on Division Street and 5th Street.

Police say they recovered 70 grams of crack cocaine, marijuana, other drug paraphernalia as well as a high powered assault weapons including an AK-47.

Several hundred dollars was also recovered according to investigators.

Channel 11 has confirmed two people are under arrest and in custody in connection to the drug sweep. Court papers identify them as 25 year old Maurice Jeffrey Johnson and 26 year old Anthony Michael Inks.
