2 shot, killed in car on Route 65 in Brighton Heights

PITTSBURGH — Emergency crews were called early Friday morning to a double fatal shooting on Route 65 in Brighton Heights, according to authorities. %

Two men were found shot in a car shortly before 5 a.m. on Route 65 outbound, near the McKees Rocks Bridge, Pittsburgh police said. Carlton Watson Jr., 24 and Richard West-Gray, 26, were pronounced dead at the scene and the medical examiner was called.

Channel 11's Jennifer Tomazic reported that a passenger side window of the vehicle was shot out.

Route 65 outbound was closed in the area for several hours, but has since reopened.

The shooting remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Violent Crime Unit at 412-323-7161.
