2 women arrested for allegedly attacking mother who was with young children

WILKINSBURG, Pa. — Two women were arrested after police said they attacked a mother who was in a car with her three young children in Wilkinsburg.

Investigators said the attack began as the victim was stopped Tuesday at a traffic light on Frankstown Avenue.

Tylynn Pruitt, 22, Raynell LeGrande, 19, and an unidentified teenage girl are accused of throwing rocks and bricks at the car while the victim’s children, all under the age of 5, were in the back seat. %

Witnesses told Channel 11’s Renee Kaminski that the children were terrified and that the attack continued at a home on Findlay Street, to which Pruitt and LeGrande followed the car. Blocks of concrete were then allegedly thrown at the house, car and children.

“I was trying to chase them away so the kids could get into the house,” a witness, who did not want to be identified, said. “I thought it was a gun. Ended up being a Taser. She said she was going to Taser me and going to kill me too.”

The children were not hurt during the attack, but a woman who was sitting in the passenger seat of the car was hit in the head.

Pruitt and LeGrande were arrested a few blocks away from the home. Police said they have evidence to support the victim’s claims, including a block of concrete and a Taser one of the suspects had in her purse.
