Police: Aliquippa Man Fatally Shot Romantic Rival

Police charged a Beaver County man with fatally shooting his romantic rival after the victim identified the alleged shooter before having emergency surgery.

Aliquippa police said Markez Priest, 21, shot Darius Odom, 21, early Thursday.

Police said Odom was shot in the back of the head and the arm along Todd Street, where he was found laying.

Police said the men were arguing over the same woman before the shooting. Chief Ralph Pallante said Odom told authorities who shot him before he underwent unsuccessful surgery to save his life at a Pittsburgh hospital.

Priest is charged with criminal homicide.
