PITTSBURGH -- The legacy of Mister Rogers will live on as U.S. lawmakers pass a resolution, honoring his work.
In a unanimous vote Tuesday night, Congress passed the resolution introduced by Democratic Pennsylvania Rep. Mike Doyle. As Doyle spoke on the House floor, he put on a cardigan sweater similar to the one Mister Rogers wore.
Doyle said, "As I dawn this cardigan, I know there are lots and lots of people in this chamber and the world who will forever miss the neighborly comfort, love and wisdom Mister Rogers gave while wearing a sweater like this one on the show."
