4 Killed In Beaver Co. Crash; 3 Were On Way To Bachelor Party

Three lifelong friends were on their way to a bachelor party while a wife and her husband were on their way home late Saturday night. Their two worlds collided in South Beaver Township, Beaver County. Four people died.

The groom-to-be, Louis Young, 23, was driving with his friends Josh Tate, 22, and Bryan Atkinson, 23. Police believe they were going well beyond the posted 55 mph limit when they hit the pickup truck pulling out onto Route 51.

The three men in the car were killed. Young was set to marry Mehgan Cook, 22, next weekend.

Jessica Demarco, 25, was in the pickup truck and died. Her husband, Daniel, was critically injured. He is at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

The accident happened at the intersection of Routes 51 and 168 in South Beaver Township at about 11:40 p.m.

Young's soon to be brother-in-law was with him before the crash. Andrew Scialdone said he was happy, and they were celebrating. He admits Young had a need for speed. "He's a speed freak," said Scialdone.

Family and friends continued to visit a makeshift memorial at the crash site Monday, leaving messages and memories.

“Louis was a very clean-cut kid, just very down to Earth,” said family friend Ricky Young. “He was never in any trouble or something like that.”
