You may have spotted movie crews or even movie stars in Pittsburgh recently.

Channel 11 caught up with one of three movie crews filming in Pittsburgh Monday. The crew was filming at the Luna Café.

“The Next Three Days” starring Russell Crowe and Olivia Wilde is being shot in and around the city. “We are in an 8 mile radius of the city,” said John Fedynech, production superviser.

Most scenes in the movie take place in Pittsburgh. The one being shot at the Luna Café takes place in New York City.

The movie crew will be shooting at a local hospital next and has already done some filming at the Allegheny County Jail and on the highways.

“Our director wrote the script around Pittsburgh. We’re highlighting a lot of the town. A lot of the other movies may be coming to Pittsburgh just to be here. We’re really taking advantage of what the city has to offer,” Fedynech.

The movie is about a married couple's life being turned upside down when the wife is accused of a murder.

The thriller will take 52 days to shoot.
