Police Arrest Suspected Drug Dealers In Moon, Coraopolis

Police served 28 arrest warrants Thursday to suspected street level drug dealers in Moon and Coraopolis.

The roundup began at sunup and by 9 a.m. more than a dozen residents were arraigned, booked and on their way to jail, accused of selling illegal drugs including cocaine and marijuana.

Thursday's crackdown capped a four-month long investigation by a task force that includes district attorney investigators, county probation officers and Coraopolis and Moon police.

"I think we made a dent today. We always want to keep people on their toes. We are not going to stop. We are going to keep going," said Coraopolis Police Chief Alan DeRusso.
