A stabbed woman who was found by firefighters who were battling a blaze in Sharpsburg is wanted in Georgia.

Firefighters leaving the scene of a house fire along Clay Street turned their attention to Deloris Johnson, 28, who was wandering around Main Street shortly after 1 a.m. on Tuesday.

Police said Johnson, who was partially clothed, had suffered several stab wounds and was taken to the hospital where she was treated and released. She was stabbed once in the arm and once in the back.

Authorities in Georgia said Johnson has been wanted for more than a year on drug and weapons charges. She's currently being held in the Allegheny County Jail waiting to be extradited.

Police took a Lawrenceville woman, Tiffany Pearson, into custody and are investigating the case as a domestic dispute.

"(We) determined it was some sort of domestic dispute," said Brian Hoebel of the Sharpsburg Police Department.

Officials said Johnson and Pearson are former roommates.

According to police, Pearson has been arrested several times for felony stalking. She has been charged with aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person, among other charges.
