Authorities are investigating after a blaze erupted at the magistrate's office in McKeesport early Thursday morning.

According to authorities, someone threw a Molotov Cocktail into the O'Neil Boulevard building, causing the blaze.

Police said the fire bomb was thrown before Magistrate Eugene F. Riazzi and his workers showed up for work.

Riazzi said he sees hundreds of cases a month and can't help but feel like a target.

"That's my office. That's my personal office," said Riazzi. "You know, if you're upset about something, come see me about it."

The building not only houses the magistrate office, but there are apartments above it as well.

"There's people that live in this building," said Riazzi. "They reside here. There's two floors. Their lives were in danger. "

Resident Michelle Hall called 911, and she and her two young girls evacuated the building.

The fire marshal said damage is minimal.

Police said the magistrate's office was shut down for about half of the day, with the scheduled cases being moved to a neighboring magistrate in White Oak.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
