WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. -- A man is recovering in UPMC Mercy Hospital after a shooting near Kennywood Park late Tuesday night.

West Mifflin police said Nicholas Adamczyk, described as a white male, was in his car at a bus stop on Kennywood Boulevard.

According to police, Larry Jordan, a white male, made a racial comment that Adamczyk’s girlfriend, an African-American, did not like.

Adamczyk got out of his car and started to fight with Jordan.

Jordan then shot Adamczyk in the groin.

He is currently in stable condition.
