PITTSBURGH -- Mario Lemieux’s wife and son helped dedicate a new Austin’s Playroom at UPMC Mercy Hospital on Wednesday.

Austin Lemieux cut the ribbon for the new playroom in the hospital.

It’s a place to play while a patient is waiting for treatment or for the treatment of a sibling.

The Lemieux family created the project after Austin was born premature. He is now 13.

The foundation has completed 16 playrooms.

Two more rooms are slated to open this year.
